This article focuses on analyzing research background that systematically documents the use of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly in terms of its impact on teaching and learning processes within educational environments. To achieve this purpose, the methodology is based on a bibliographic review of recent scientific literature addressing the integration of technological resources in school settings, highlighting their potential to transform pedagogical practices through the personalization of learning, the automation of tasks, and the promotion of more accessible, inclusive, and adaptive environments that respond to diverse learning paces among students. Drawing on the dialogue and contributions of various authors and theorists, it can be argued that AI contributes to improving educational quality and fostering pedagogical innovation, while also requiring a critical and adaptive perspective. Nevertheless, several challenges associated with its use are identified, including the risk of technological dependency, inequalities in access to digital infrastructure, insufficient teacher training in digital competencies, and ethical concerns such as data management and privacy. Consequently, it is concluded that artificial intelligence represents a highly promising tool for supporting educational processes; however, its use must be guided by ethical, pedagogical, and social principles that ensure a more equitable, innovative, and relevant education in response to the demands of the digital society.
